Crowdsourcing / Crowdfounding

12 Nov

Many have heard these two words, but what do they mean ?

Crowdsourcing is the fact of helping between a man or a group and a community to set up a project, for example. Indeed, the crowd, so the community, will give it’s help to a person in need across ideas, advices or even labor.

Crowdfounding is quite the same but the concept of money is present. People use it to raise capitals in asking community donation.

Here is an article from the New York Times which shows an example of crowfounding : http://www.nytimes.com/2013/08/12/business/bookstores-turn-to-web-donors-to-stall-the-end.html?_r=0
